Resources for Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff play an important role in creating learning environments where neurodivergent students can participate, contribute, and thrive. Supporting neurodiversity does not require knowing every student's diagnosis or anticipating every individual need. It begins with flexibility, clear communication, accessible and inclusive practices, and an understanding that students may learn, communicate, organize information, and engage with their environment in different ways. The resources in this section are designed to help UCLA faculty and staff learn more about neurodiversity, implement inclusive teaching and student-support practices, work effectively with approved accommodations, and connect students with appropriate campus resources. By reducing unnecessary barriers and designing environments that recognize different ways of thinking and learning, faculty and staff can support neurodivergent students while creating a more accessible educational experience for all Bruins.
